Zygmunt Rozwadowski (Lviv 1870 -1950 in Zakopane) - Polish battle painter, stage designer, soldier of the Legions. In 1883-1890, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow with Jan Matejko, among others, and in 1891-1893 in Munich at the private school of Anton Azbe. While still a student, he exhibited his paintings at TPSP in Krakow and Lviv, initially under the name Jordan. After graduation, he lived in Lviv - he taught at the Industrial School, exhibited a lot, and collaborated on the decoration of the halls of the Lviv theater. During World War I, he fought in the Legions. After World War II, he settled in Zakopane. He painted mainly battle paintings from the Napoleonic era and the November Uprising, genre scenes with horse motifs, less frequently portraits and landscapes. He participated in painting popular panoramas - Raclawice with Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak, Golgotha, Panorama of Transylvania and Martyrdom of Christians with Styka, and Battle of the Pyramids with Kossak. Together with Tadeusz Popiel, he painted the dioramas Branki Tatar and the Battle of Grunwald.
