oil, canvas, 70 x 50 cm, signed p.d.: Krystyna Jaszke
Krystyna Jaszke graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where she studied at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture in the atelier of Prof. Jozef Halas
and Prof. Leszek Mickos, as well as at the Faculty of Graphic Arts i.e. Lithography
in the studio of Prof. Pawel Frąckiewicz and Mezzotint in the studio of Prof. Chris Nowicki. She received her diploma in 2002. I have had exhibitions
in Nowy Sacz, Wroclaw and London, among others.
She has progressed from abstractionism, large-format representations, through fantasy/surrealism to figurative painting, now mainly representations of women in the world around them, which, however, are still accompanied by the fight for their rights, manifested by, for example, the symbols of flowers or the instruments of crime used. The heroine is a fighting woman, capable of anything. On the one hand she pesters with a glass of wine and on the other she hides an axe just in case....
