23 x 17,5 cm
The man in the portrait looks at the viewer over his right shoulder. The look is intelligent, alert and focused. Underneath the high-collared green coat, he wears a waistcoat, the top lapels of which are folded over the coat. A tie is under the open waistcoat. The man is wearing a powdered wig. Based on the style of his attire, the painting can be dated to the early 1890s. The gold embroidered hem of the waistcoat shows fashion awareness. It is probably a portrait of a nobleman, whose fashion at the end of the 18th century under the influence of the French Revolution took on a simpler, bourgeois character.
