Biography
Painter, author of installations and spatial objects. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. He defended his diploma in Painting with honors under the direction of Prof. Jerzy Kalucki. Winner of the Artistic Award of the City of Poznan (2007). Since May 2007. with Wojciech Bąkowski, Tomasz Mroz, Konrad Smoleński, Piotr Bosacki, Magdalena Starska and Iza Tarasewicz co-founded the artistic group Penerstwo. His artistic interests oscillate around issues of belonging and identity, history, race, religion, tensions between the center and periphery and the social margin. Through his art, he analyzes the image of the modern world as a space of intersection of various cultures and experiences. In the mesh of diverse, coexisting motifs in his works taken from literature, film, folk art or American pop-culture, the artist also weaves threads related to personal experiences.
